Ilker Bozcan, PhD candidate

Ilker Bozcan hold a B.Sc. in computer engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in June 2016. He received M.Sc. degree in computer engineering from METU in August 2018. From October 2018, he is pursuing his research in Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark at the department of engineering as a PhD fellow. He is working on computer vision based anomaly detection methods with UAVs. His research areas are deep learning, computer vision and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Xuan Huy Pham, PhD candidate

Huy Pham is currently a Ph.D. student at Aarhus University, pursuing research in autonomous navigation and motion planning for Aerial Robot Systems at Artificial Intelligence in Robotics (AiR) Lab, under the supervision of Dr. Erdal Kayacan. Previously, he completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2018 at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he worked at the Autonomous Robots Lab (ARL) and published a few papers in Path Planning and Control for Multi-Robot Systems. He also has another Master’s degree in Industrial System Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, Norman in 2013

Mohit Mehndiratta, PhD candidate

Mohit Mehndiratta was born in New Delhi, India on June 28, 1990. He received a B.Tech. degree in aerospace engineering from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2012. In August 2015, he received a M.Sc. degree in aerospace engineering jointly offered by Technische Universität München, Germany and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a doctoral student (PhD. scholar) and pursuing his research in Nanyang Technological University at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research focus includes nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC), moving horizon estimation (MHE), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and is currently working on the design of VTOL fixed-wing UAV incorporating NMPC-MHE control framework.

Andriy Sarabakha, PhD candidate

Andriy Sarabakha was born in Lviv, Ukraine, on November 16, 1986. He received a B.Sc. degree in computer engineering in 2012 from”Sapienza” – Università di Roma, Rome, Italy, as well as a M.Sc. degree in artificial intelligence and robotics in 2015 from the same university. From January 2016, he is pursuing his research in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering as Ph.D. student. His research areas are unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic

Efe Camci, PhD candidate

Efe Camci was born in Izmir, Turkey. He went to Izmir Ataturk High School, Izmir, Turkey. He received his B.Sc. degree in Aerospace Engineering at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. He is currently pursuing his research as a Ph.D. student in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research areas are flight mechanics and control, reinforcement learning, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Yunus Govdeli, PhD candidate

Yunus Govdeli was born in Istanbul, Turkey on September 14, 1991. He completed his double B.Sc. degree programme in mechanical engineering and aeronautical engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey, in 2015. After completing his undergraduate education, he has directly started his doctoral studies and is currently a second-year Ph.D. Student in Nanyang Technological University at Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP). His research is focused on aerodynamic design, additive manufacturing, mathematical modelling and intelligent control of unmanned aerial vehicles with vertical take-off and landing capabilities (VTOL UAVs).

Nursultan Imanberdiyev, PhD candidate

Nursultan Imanberdiyev was born in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, on May 16, 1991. He received a B.Sc. degree in Robotics and Mechatronics from Nazarbayev University (NU), Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2015.  He is currently pursuing his research as a Ph.D. student in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research areas are mainly focused on Robotics, Reinforcement Learning and Intelligent Control for UAV Autonomy.
